Are you looking to join a successful, growing global organisation that values performance, quality, and innovation? We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Material Operator to join our team in Newport. This is an onsite role within a fast-paced warehouse environment where you will be encouraged to perform at your best and contribute to a safe, efficient workplace.
Position Overview- Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour (AWR Salary Equivalent: £24,492.38)
- Location: Newport (Onsite)
- Contract: 3 months initial, with a possibility of extension
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: * Initial shifts: Monday-Friday, 07:00-15:00
- Rotational shifts: 07:00-15:00 OR 13:00-21:00
- Note: After 3-6 months, shifts may transition to a continental pattern that includes weekends.
- Breaks: Two 30-minute unpaid breaks
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Material Operator, you will manage materials across various zones, including raw materials, finished goods, and environmental areas. Your daily tasks will include:
- Stock Management: Packing finished products onto pallets and putting them away in warehouse locations.
- Logistics: Sending and receiving products to/from external warehouses and loading customer orders onto delivery vehicles.
- Order Fulfillment: Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
- Inventory Control: Performing Perpetual Inventory (PI) counts and receiving raw material deliveries.
- Safety & Maintenance: Actively supporting 5S standards, reducing waste/damage, and participating in PPI (Practical Process Improvement) initiatives.
We need a flexible teammate with a "can-do" demeanor who thrives in a high-energy environment.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar position within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Certifications: Side-loading forklift certification is essential.
- Skills: Strong computer literacy, as well as being literate and numerate
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours and travel offsite if requested by management.
Additional Information:
- Dress Code: High-viz clothing is provided. Candidates must provide their own safety boots.
- Background Check: A standard background check is required.
