Salary: £29,000 p.a. (incl. shift allowance) once fully trained + Benefits (see below). Starting salary: £26,575 p.a.
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week - rotating shift pattern (Days, Nights, Afternoons).

Job Role:
The Manufacturing Operative role is a vital frontline, hands-on position that is crucial to the Company's success. The job involves:
- Operate production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures / work instructions
- Having a keen eye for quality control, ensuring that we only produce the finest quality product for our customers.
- Carrying out inspections to ensure our products meet our strict product specifications.
- Complete production records - such as batch records, raw materials and waste
- Report any equipment faults to management and our maintenance team
- Warehouse and inventory duties - such as loading and unloading of products and raw materials
- Maintain an excellent standard of hygiene and cleanliness to ensure good manufacturing practice and to minimise contamination
- Handling chemicals and raw materials to specifications and in a safe manner.
- General factory housekeeping.
- Work safely and ensure the safety of your colleagues
- Being part of a team working to achieve a common goal.
What you will need:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Basic IT skills
- Previous experience in the manufacturing sector will be an advantage (e.g. plastics / coating / printing / packaging / automotive) but is not essential as we are open to those wishing to try something new.
- Holding a recognised Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH will also be an advantage but is not essential.
- Be a comfortable communicator who works well within a close-knit team
- Be confident with speaking up to highlight any potential issues
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Accepts and embraces change within a working environment always looking to improve standards
- Maintains an upbeat and positive outlook and has a "can do" attitude
- Able to learn 'on the job' and continue to learn and develop
