M&E Installation Electrician — Heritage & Landmark Buildings (Central London)
Location: Various sites across Central London and the City

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated M&E Installation Electrician to join a long‑standing team delivering works across some of London’s most historically significant and architecturally prestigious buildings — including landmark courts, civic buildings, and major heritage sites in the heart of the City.
You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical systems within sensitive, occupied, and high-profile environments. This role is ideal for a technically strong, client‑facing electrician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and enjoys working across unique and historic settings.
Key Responsibilities
Install electrical systems in line with 18th Edition wiring regulations.
Carry out site surveys independently or alongside clients to determine requirements.
Provide accurate and detailed survey information to project and contract managers.
Deliver professional technical assessments and recommendations.
Work with lighting control systems such as DALI and Ex-Or.
Apply strong working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360/2382, and inspection/testing standards (2391 desirable).
Work to NICEIC standards and comply with all relevant safety codes and regulations.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship to support repeat business and strong client relationships.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
BS7671 18th Edition
Time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent training
Solid experience in electrical installation across commercial, residential or heritage buildings
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work alone or as part of a small team
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
Desirable
City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection
CSCS Card
Experience within heritage, listed or sensitive environments (advantageous but not essential)
Personal Attributes
Strong attention to detail and organised approach
Able to work under pressure and adapt to busy, occupied sites
Positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude
Reliable, collaborative team player
Able to build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
