• Qualified teacher status
• Recognised subject specific degree or equivalent
• Subject related higher degree
• Netball Specialism
• Professional development over the last three years in aspects of subject development and pedagogy
• A successful record as a classroom teacher
• A successful track record of raising levels of pupil attainment and progress
• Strong commitment to extra-curricular provision
• Experience of teaching A-level
• Effective use of data to inform appropriate actions
Professional knowledge and understanding
• Current educational issues especially related to the curriculum at KS3 and KS4
• Current teaching, learning and assessment issues relevant to the needs of the department
• Effective strategies for promoting positive pupil behaviour
• Management of staff, including professional development

An outstanding opportunity to teach in a flourishing and forward thinking 11-18 single academy where the wellbeing of staff is a priority.
Required for June 2026 for this heavily over-subscribed and successful Church of England Academy, an enthusiastic, able and ambitious teacher is sought to teach Girls’ Physical Education throughout key stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of some PE Enrichment teaching in the sixth form. This post is equally suited to an experienced practitioner or to a new entrant to the teaching profession and becomes available to cover the maternity leave of the current post holder.
The successful candidate will join a thriving, creative and supportive team. We seek to appoint a teacher who is passionate about PE and Sports, someone who is able to set challenging work across the age and ability range as well as being willing to contribute to the extensive extra-curricular offer already in place.
