Teaching Assistant | Year 4 – Thornton-Cleveleys
Humly is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting ASAP and continuing until 17 July 2026. This position would suit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting Key Stage 2 pupils and delivering targeted interventions, particularly within speech and language development. You will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the full curriculum while providing additional support for pupils with SEND.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Leading small group interventions focused on speech and language development
Providing targeted support for pupils with SEND
Reinforcing learning through structured activities and guided practice
Promoting positive behaviour and supporting classroom routines
Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary setting
Confidence supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, ideally within Year 4
Experience delivering small group interventions, particularly speech and language support
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting learning
A clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within schools
Pay
£13.70 – £14.95 per hour
