PE Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in St Albans and the surrounding areas, delivering engaging and energetic Physical Education lessons across a range of sports and activities.Duties as PE Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging PE lessons following provided plans
  • Lead practical sports sessions safely indoors and outdoors
  • Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive attitudes to sport
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Support participation and confidence across mixed‑ability groups
  • Encourage resilience, cooperation, and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports activities when required
  • Assess and record pupil progress as needed
Ideal PE Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education and sports science
  • Confident leading practical lessons in varied environments
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Able to motivate and inspire students of mixed abilities
  • Adaptable across different year groups and school environments
  • Positive, organised, and committed to high‑quality teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
