Job Description: Are you an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? A leading specialist provider is seeking an SEN Teacher to join a dedicated team at a special school in Aberdare. This role offers the opportunity to work 2-4 days a week across primary and secondary settings, covering a variety of subjects and activities. Key Responsibilities:
Support and supervise learners with ASD, EBD, or challenging behaviour
Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
Help staff prepare classrooms for lessons
Deliver a variety of subjects at both primary and secondary levels
Engage learners through classroom and out-of-classroom activities
Follow the school's behaviour management policies
Requirements:
At least 1 year of teaching experience
Experience teaching within an SEN setting would be advantageous
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (support available)
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the UK
