What skills and experience we're looking for
Reddish Vale High School are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, committed and ambitious Teacher of English to join a very strong department within our school. The successful candidate will display a real passion for learning and the teaching of their subject, with experience of teaching across KS3 and 4.
Reporting to the Head of Department for English, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding, creative teacher with the drive, passion and commitment to join our hugely talented team of staff, working together to encourage and support every child in reaching their full potential.
Your experience and expertise will be able to promote and encourage students to thrive in their English Language and Literature studies. A commitment to your own CPD, through the development and application of innovative teaching and learning practices, will support the philosophy of the department.
Please note that we do not employ unqualified teachers. Only applications from candidates with QTS status will be considered for any teaching post.
As a Teacher of English, you will:
• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students of all abilities.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience.
• Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and ensure it is both relevant and inspiring.
• Provide excellent pastoral support to students, helping them to achieve their best academically and personally.
• Take part in extracurricular activities to enrich students’ learning experiences.
