Support Worker
Brook Street Social Care is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to work with children and young people across the North East.
Opportunities are available in:
- Educational settings, including schools and specialist provisions
- Children and Adult's residential services
You will be supporting adults and young people with:
- Trauma backgrounds
- Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Learning Disabilities (LD)
- Autism
- Complex needs

The Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Provide day-to-day care and emotional support
- Support learning and engagement within educational and residential settings
- Promote independence and positive behaviour
- Follow care plans and behaviour strategies
- Build positive, professional relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Safeguard and promote well being at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months UK care experience
- Experience supporting adults, children and young people
- Residential or education experience desirable
- Ability to work flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends)
- Strong communication skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or adults (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
