Summary
Blyth Valley Disabled Forum is a Charity Home Care Provider established in the Blyth Northumberland area in 1984.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Home Carer to join our Area Coordinator Team.
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic and committed to high quality care support for our clients living in their own homes in the Blyth area.
Duties include
Providing care to clients living in their own homes in the community of Blyth- Car Driver Essential.
The role will include supervising Care staff to develop their caring skills and ensure Quality Care service delivery.
Facilitate visits to new clients/families prior to care commencing to ensure the Care Plan is able to meet their needs and liaise with Health Care professionals such as Occupation Therapist's and Physio's to meet the changing needs of our clients.
You will work in both our office setting and in the community of Blyth.
BVDF will provide excellent induction and on going personal development training to support and develop knowledge and skills to enhance your Senior Care/Area Coordinator position.
Support Management to develop and implement improvements to Care service delivery and develop Care Team skills and knowledge
Out of Hours on call rota
Qualifications
Cache or BTEC Level 2 or 3 Medication Qualification essential
Health and Social Care Diploma Level 3 or above essential
IT skills desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Experience
Working in the Home Care sector in a Senior role essential.
Experience facilitating supervisions and supporting Care staff to develop their care skills desirable but not essential as full training provided.
Experience working with Health and Social Care Professionals - Hospitals. GP, District Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Physios and Social Services desirable.
Experience of Moving & Handling techniques and equipment essential.
