We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, menu development, and staff management. This role requires a passionate culinary professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to food safety standards. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality service, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction.



Responsibilities

-Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and smooth daily operations
-Develop innovative menus that align with the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences
-Oversee food production, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
-Manage food preparation processes, including ingredient sourcing, portion control, and waste reduction
-Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
-Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional growth and teamwork
-Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
-Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers for timely procurement of ingredients
-Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times
-Foster a positive working environment that encourages creativity and high performance


Requirements

-Proven supervisory experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
-Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and cooking techniques
-Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
-Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
-Experience in menu development and food presentation
-Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
-Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management
-Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
-Knowledge of serving procedures within a restaurant setting is advantageous
