Your new company
This is a primary school located in the Wigan area that Hays proudly work with, and they are looking to secure a Year 3/4 Teacher to start after the Easter Half Term. This school places a high emphasis on pushing pupils to reach their potential, and they are now looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher that sets high expectations for their pupils. There is a strong support network within the staff and there has always been positive feedback from staff that Hays has placed here.
Your new role
As part of your role as a class teacher, you will take on full responsibilities for this class, which will include preparing and planning fun and engaging lessons to push your pupils to the best of their ability. You should be able to build relationships quickly and easily, as well as have good behaviour management skills. It is important that, in this role, you will mark and assess pupils' work recording their development, progress, and attainment. You will have the support from an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant as well as a support staff network within the school. You will want to strive for academic growth for the children in your class and feel confident in tailoring materials to suit the ability and learning style of individual pupils.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills. Experience in KS2 would be desirable but not essential and NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply for the role.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will get paid to scale from day one and will join a successful team where you will be provided with ongoing training and development. You will also join our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme, where you could be entitled to receiving £250 in high street vouchers.
