Project Finance Analyst Salary - Up to £45,000 depending on experience plus Veolia benefits
Location - Cannock (Hybrid with office working 3 times a week)
Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a Financial Modelling Analyst to join our Project Finance Team within Infrastructure Water & Energy (IWE). This role will support the development, building, and optimisation of financial models across the IWE business, working closely with the Project Finance Manager to provide financial modelling expertise for new infrastructure projects and contract renegotiations.

What you'll do:

Main duties will include:

  • Develop, build, and optimise financial models for infrastructure projects across the Northern Europe zone
  • Perform valuation analysis and assess financial returns of projects, including under IFRS accounting standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Legal, Technical, Finance, and Tax to ensure financial models meet Group KPI metrics
  • Prepare and update financial models in support of bids and tenders across Veolia IWE business streams, including Energy, Facilities Management, Water Treatment, and Waste Management
  • Act as the financial lead with the business development and operational teams to deliver accurate and robust bid submissions
  • Ensure bid submissions include correct and accurate accounting treatment
  • Undertaking ad hoc project work as required and remaining compliant with all Veolia policies and procedures

The experience you will need:

Essential:

  • Intermediate financial modelling skills including sound understanding of finance principles including NPV and cost-based pricing mechanisms
  • Sound understanding of IFRS and accounting knowledge to the level of a Part Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of preparing and delivering financial models
  • Confident communicator with intermediate presentation skills, including ability to present succinctly to stakeholders at all levels including senior leaders
  • Well organised and self-motivated; able to work accurately to tight deadlines unsupervised
  • Proactive and forward thinking mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving ability and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple groups and regions

Desirable:

  • Part Qualified Accountant qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
