- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils within secondary subjects
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
- Support pupils with additional needs to help them fully participate in lessons
- Implement behaviour support strategies in line with school expectations
- Help prepare learning materials and contribute to classroom organisation
- Promote positive communication, independence, and good learning habits
- Monitor and record pupil progress and share observations with staff
- Contribute to wider school routines during longer-term placements
- Previous experience supporting pupils in a secondary school environment
- Understanding of strategies for supporting mixed-ability groups and SEND learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships
- Confident in supporting learning across a variety of subjects
- Adaptable and proactive in different school settings
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undertake additional training and development
