SEND Teaching Assistant – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and develop key skills.Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Help implement individual education plans and behaviour strategies
  • Support pupils with personal care needs where required
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate with staff
  • Contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Understanding of strategies for supporting needs such as autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Adaptability across different classrooms and school environments
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and development
