A friendly and inclusive primary school in Exeter is looking for a committed Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children who have additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and speech & language difficulties, helping them access learning with confidence and independence.
- Providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
- Assisting pupils with EHCPs during lessons and key transitions
- Supporting the class teacher by adapting resources and activities
- Encouraging communication skills and positive social interaction
- Observing and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour
- Creating a structured, calm, and inclusive learning environment
You'll be a consistent and reassuring presence, helping pupils overcome barriers and celebrate progress - no matter how small.
- Has experience supporting children with SEN (school, care, or similar setting)
- Is patient, calm, and adaptable
- Communicates clearly and works effectively within a team
- Feels confident supporting both individuals and small groups
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
- Competitive daily rate of £85-£95
- Supportive and welcoming school environment
- Valuable experience within a primary SEN setting
