To ensure that all Procurement staff are fully competent in all aspects of pharmacy procurement services and understand the complexities of the medicines supply chain in line with Good Distribution Practice principles. To support the training of all pharmacy professionals including trainee pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support assistants. To support the Lead Pharmacy Technician Procurement in the management, trending and reviewing of any errors ensuring learnings and training opportunities are identified and implemented. 4. To undertake line management responsibilities such as appraisals, 1:1s and absence management, identifying development opportunities and supporting individuals' wellbeing. 5. To regularly review working practices and develop those processes to improve compliance and efficiency, ensuring that all SOPs are up to date and reflect accurately established or new working practices. 6. Develop and maintain the pharmacy supply risks spreadsheet and improve engagement with the greater pharmacy team in the management of medicines shortages and mitigating actions. 7. Take own initiative to assess outlying costs like emergency deliveries for urgent goods or sourcing alternative medicines during shortage within a reasonable price bracket and ensure all appropriate stakeholders are aware of the costs and how they will affect finances. To support the Lead Pharmacy Technician Procurement in the review and delivery of Better Value Procurement targets. To support the department in the preparation for MHRA audits relating to wholesaling. To support the implementation of any corrective actions post audit. Actively supports sustainable procurement by considering environmental impact, waste reduction, and value for money in purchasing decision
