This 3 month post is a fellowship for anaesthetists with at least three years of anaesthetic training.

Additional clinical fellows are recruited to manage the increase in acuity and out of hours work at the Royal London Hospital (RLH). The out of hours is focused on supporting the increasing numbers and complexity of cases on labour ward, the mechanical thrombectomy service and the busy emergency theatre at RLH. The on calls will reflect this service need and be split between labour ward and providing cover for emergency theatres.

The post will also offer the opportunity to obtain competencies in one of a number of surgical specialties undertaken at RLH (eg neuro, complex obstetrics, perioperative medicine and high risk preassessment, regional anaesthesia, trauma anaesthesia major abdominal surgery) and to develop their CV byundertaking QI projects or research. In addition, each successful candidate will have a dedicated educational supervisor to support their career goals.

Out of hours they will work with a team of an anaesthetic core trainee, an obstetric anaesthetic registrar, a paediatric anaestheticregistrar and asenior anaesthetic registrar.
