The post holder is responsible for leading and managing the Bowel Screening Programmes administrative service across Coventry and Warwickshire. This includes full line management of the administration team - overseeing recruitment, training, performance management, staffing cover, and budget/resource control. They manage and maintain the Programmes Quality Management System, ensuring SOPs are up to date, compliant, and support efficient processes across all screening sites. The role includes development and line management of the Screening Pathway Navigator position. A major responsibility involves planning and balancing demand and capacity for screening, liaising closely with Endoscopy and Outpatients departments across four provider sites to secure sufficient clinic and colonoscopy list capacity. This includes coordinating consultant annual leave, organising additional lists, and escalating service risks when required. The post holder coordinates and administratively manages FIT+ and Lynch Syndrome surveillance pathways, ensuring accurate waiting list management, data entry, rescheduling, and adherence to waiting time standards. They monitor activity, analyse performance data, identify risks, and take corrective actions to maintain targets - escalating unresolved issues and supporting the cancer services team with statistical queries, breach analysis, audits, and research. They contribute evidence for business cases and lead specified service improvement projects. The role acts as a key communication point internally and externally, ensuring effective information flow between the team, the screening Hub, and partner sites. They also provide system support, lead on new technical system rollouts, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and maintain risk registers. Additionally, the post holder organises MDT/QA meetings, produces simplified visual datasets, arranges team events and training sessions, and provides highlevel administrative support to the management team including meeting attendance, project work, and performance reporting.
