Are you a skilled and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) seeking a rewarding part-time opportunity? If so, our client, a highly respected educational institution in Ealing, Greater London, invites you to consider this exceptional role. As the Part-time SENCO, you will be responsible for coordinating the provision of support and resources for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within the school. Your expertise and dedication will be crucial in ensuring these students receive the individualised attention and tailored interventions they require to thrive academically and socially.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and creating comprehensive individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEND
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective strategies to support students' learning and wellbeing
- Providing training and guidance to teaching staff to enhance their understanding and implementation of inclusive practices
- Overseeing the allocation of resources and funding to meet the unique needs of students with SEND
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all relevant SEND legislation and school policies

To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS, and a relevant postgraduate qualification in SEND or Special Educational Needs
- Substantial experience as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role within the education sector
- A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the ability to interpret and apply it effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proven problem-solving skills and the capacity to think creatively to address the diverse needs of students
- Strong organisational and time management abilities to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
