Job Title: Trainee Leakage Technician
Location: North London
Salary: £27,183
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your
expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. Hydrosave is part of the South Staffordshire Group –

long-term development and career progression.
As a Trainee Leakage Technician, you’ll learn how to identify and investigate water leaks using both traditional field techniques
and modern technology. Through our structured 18-week TeCas-accredited training programme, you’ll develop the knowledge and

* Supporting repair teams with accurate leak locations
* Conducting surveys and validation work
* Using advanced detection equipment in real-world scenarios
You’ll play a vital role in reducing water loss and improving network efficiency.
The Role:
* Conduct detailed surveys to identify leak type and location
* Use specialist equipment such as correlators, pipe tracers, ground microphones, and data loggers
* Accurately complete timesheets, survey forms, and leakage reports
* Support repair teams by precisely identifying leak positions
* Take full responsibility for Health & Safety compliance
* Report accidents, incidents, and near misses within required timeframes
* Adhere to company vehicle safety processes and complete daily vehicle checks
* Work closely with the Training Team and Leakage Supervisors to build technical proficiency
* Demonstrate company values and professional behaviours at all times
What you’ll need:
* Full, valid UK driving licence
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good planning and organisational ability
* Decisive and confident decision-making skills
* Strong awareness of Health, Safety & Wellbeing
* Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
What you’ll get in return:
* Family-Friendly Leave
Enhanced Maternity, Adoption, Paternity & Shared Parental Leave, Fertility Support, and up to 5 paid Carer’s Days.
* Financial & Life Assurance
Life Assurance cover (role dependant) and a Company Pension Scheme with salary sacrifice options.
* Health & Wellbeing
