About the role
At mhs homes, our ambition is clear — to help end the housing crisis in North Kent. To achieve this, we need talented people who
care about delivering safe, decent, and well maintained homes for our customers. We’re looking for a highly organised, customer
focused Asset Services Administrator to join our busy Capital Works team on an 8 month secondment.
In this vital role, you’ll support key asset management functions, ensuring accurate data management, effective contractor
coordination, and excellent customer service. This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You’ll work
closely with surveyors, contractors, and colleagues across the organisation to help deliver efficient repairs, inspections, and
wider asset management activities. You’ll also support our Adaptations service, which helps customers live independently in their
homes — an aspect of the role that brings real job satisfaction. In addition, you will assist with major Capital Works projects,
contributing to improvements across our housing stock.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing administrative and scheduling support across the Capital Works team to ensure excellent customer service
* Supporting Contract Managers with arranging meetings and taking minutes
* Liaising with external contractors for updates on repair works and keeping systems accurate and up to date
* Arranging property inspections for Surveyors, raising resulting repairs, and documenting outcomes
* Managing the team email inboxes and responding to general enquiries
* Supporting complaint investigations and helping produce Stage 1 complaint responses
* Ensuring accurate data entry and record keeping across Housing and Asset Management systems
* Raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and supporting effective contract/supplier management
* Building positive working relationships across the business
* Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure all enquiries reach the right place
* Taking the lead on general enquiries to ensure timely and effective customer resolution
* Supporting the production of reports, letters, and other documents
* Contributing to team and corporate objectives
What you’ll bring
Essential
* Experience in a customer service environment
* Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
* Strong attention to detail
* Good presentation skills (oral, written, numerical)
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Desirable
* Ability to manipulate data in Microsoft Excel
* Experience using Keystone or similar asset management systems
This role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
Please note: due to business needs and workload, this may increase to 4–5 days per week. Attendance for mandatory meetings,
training sessions, etc.
We offer:
* A performance based annual bonus (pro-rata) + pension contributions matched up to 6%
* 28 days holiday + bank holidays (pro-rata)
* Training & Development and opportunities for continuing professional development including regular tool box talks
