The Employability, Innovation and Skills Academy deliver a wide range of short employability courses that are aimed at helping unemployed people gain the knowledge and skills to progress into long term employment. We work closely with the Job Centre Plus and other partners to run courses that are tailored to the current labour market. These can range from development of core skills such as CV writing, interview skills and communication skills to vocational courses such as construction and security that provide practical skills and knowledge to apply for licences to work in the industry. There are several full and part time roles within employability, warehouse, retail and specialist security,
We are currently looking for dynamic, organised and inspirational tutors to support adult learners to gain their SIA license, enhance their employability prospects and gain skills within the retail, warehouse and storage industry. These courses are delivered across different locations in the south and east of England. The successful candidate will be required to have a flexible approach to working, as the role requires significant travel across Eastern and Southern England.
What we are looking for
• A level 3 teaching qualification (or willing to work towards one)
• Good level of IT skills
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
• Competency in delivering employability skills
• Ideally, you should have your own vehicle for travelling
We also welcome application from candidates that have experience in security and or stewarding.
