- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials to classes across a range of subjects
- Maintain a calm, purposeful, and positive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
- Support pupils in staying engaged and on task during lessons
- Take registers and follow school procedures for attendance and safeguarding
- Supervise pupils during lessons, transitions, and occasionally at break or lunch as required
- Report feedback on pupil progress, conduct, and engagement to teaching and pastoral staff
- Assist with general classroom support, cover duties, and other reasonable tasks across the school
- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school or education setting
- Confident leading a classroom and delivering work set by the class teacher
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with pupils and staff
- Effective behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
- Adaptable and comfortable working across different year groups and subject areas
- Professional, reliable, and proactive with a positive attitude to school life
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and continuous professional development
