A forward-thinking secondary school in Coventry is seeking a dedicated Secondary Music Teacher to join the team from April 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, and applications are welcome from both ECTs and experienced teachers.
The Role
As a Music Teacher, you will:
• Deliver engaging, well-structured Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire pupils to develop creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
• Teach a broad curriculum including performance, composition, listening, and appraisal.
• Support practical music-making, rehearsals, and use of music technology.
• Contribute to curriculum development within a supportive and ambitious Performing Arts department.
• Play an active role in enrichment, including choirs, ensembles, concerts, and school productions.
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds QTS with a Music specialism.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice.
• Has high expectations and a commitment to raising attainment.
• Thrives in a diverse, inner-city school setting.
• Can play at least one instrument to a good standard.
• Is reflective, proactive, and committed to professional growth.
