These are exciting times to work within Salford City Council's fast paced and varied Housing Strategy Team. The team is responsible for the production, monitoring and reporting on the delivery of our housing and homelessness related strategies and policies, driving and delivering a number of key actions within our strategy action plans, as well as some officers conducting s.202 homelessness reviews (under Part VII Housing Act).
We are now seeking a dynamic Strategy Principal Officer who will develop Salford’s supported housing needs assessment, a new supported housing strategy, delivery plan and monitoring framework in line with the statutory requirements of the Supported Housing Regulatory Oversight Act.
We are seeking a highly effective individual who can ensure that the tight deadlines for this are achieved, while our ideal candidate will also be someone who can demonstrate their ability to use their initiative to drive a partnership approach to achieving local outcomes.
Experienced in strategy development, you will have excellent written and verbal skills, be conversant in data collection and analysis and be able to plan and manage competing pieces of work. A knowledge and understanding of a wide range of housing and homelessness issues is required. The post holder must have experience and excellent skills in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, in order to ensure the strategy reflects the voice of people with lived experience, as well as our key partners.
Our values of pride, passion, people and personal responsibility are at the heart of everything we do, and they are central to the way in which we behave with colleagues, customers and partners.
Please contact Julie Craik (julie.craik@salford.gov.uk) - if you would like to discuss this position in more detail.
