Crynodeb

Are you looking for rewarding, meaningful work where every day offers the chance to make a real impact? Do you have a caring nature, a playful spirit, and a passion for supporting children and young people?

Join Countryview, Quarriers short breaks (respite) service supporting children and young people aged 5–20 with a wide range of additional needs. As an Intensive Support Practitioner, you'll be part of a dedicated, compassionate team providing tailored support — and creating joyful, memorable experiences for every child who comes through our doors.

About Countryview

Our service provides short breaks to children and young people with:

  • Complex medical needs
  • Physical and learning disabilities
  • Autism and neurodiverse conditions
  • Trauma‑related and emotional needs

Countryview is more than a care service — it’s a place of play, connection, growth, fun, and comfort.

Your new opportunity

As part of our team, you will:

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children and young people
  • Support with personal care, therapeutic routines, and daily activities (full training provided)
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Engage children in play, sensory exploration, outings, and skill‑building activities
  • Provide calm, consistent, and compassionate support — particularly during moments of distress

Your support gives families vital time to rest and recharge, knowing their child is in capable, caring hands.

Working Pattern

We are offering permanent contracts from 15 to 37.5 hours per week.

Shifts may include:

  • Early shifts
  • Late shifts
  • Evenings
  • Weekends
  • Sleepovers

Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the children who access the service.

What you’ll bring to the role

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Compassionate, calm, and child‑centred
  • Creative and playful in their approach
  • Reliable, flexible, and great team players
  • Confident supporting children with a variety of complex needs

Experience in care is helpful — but your values, attitude, and willingness to learn matter most.

Whether you have personal experience, voluntary work, childcare background, or transferable skills from another sector, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll get in return

  • Flexible contracted hours to support work–life balance
  • Full induction and ongoing paid training
  • Opportunities to grow and progress within Quarriers
  • Concerts for Carers registration
  • Blue Light Card membership
  • A warm, supportive team environment
  • The chance to be part of something truly meaningful

At Countryview, we don’t just provide care — we create memories.
Children come here to laugh, learn, and enjoy life, and we’re looking for people who want to be part of that journey.
