Crynodeb

Are you looking for a role in social care that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work across a range of support services? Are you adaptable, reliable, and a strong team player? If so, Quarriers would love to hear from you.

We’re currently recruiting Relief Support Workers to join our Central Relief Pool, supporting services across Inverclyde and Renfrewshire.

About the Role

As a Relief Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting services by covering unfilled shifts and rota gaps. You’ll provide high‑quality, person‑centred support to people with complex needs, including:

  • Autism
  • Epilepsy
  • Mental health needs
  • Physical disabilities
  • Communication support needs

This is a role, ideal if you’re looking to gain experience across different services, broaden your skills, or looking to work additional hours.

Why Join Quarriers’ Relief Pool?

Working in our relief pool gives you the chance to make a real difference while enjoying flexibility and variety.

“I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to work in different services and meet a wider group of people. I’m not able to commit to shifts in advance as my partner works away, so this role suits my family dynamic perfectly.”
– Lorraine, Support Worker

“The relief staff pool is ideal for people who are open to new ideas, environments, and challenges. It’s broadened my understanding of Quarriers and reminded me why the organisation’s values still matter 152 years on.”
– Jeff, Relief Support Worker

What We’re Looking For

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • Previous experience working in social care
  • ✅ A full, valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • ✅ A flexible, reliable approach and commitment to Quarriers’ values of compassion, inclusion, and high‑quality care

Assessment Centre

If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to attend an assessment centre on:

Wednesday 11 February
10:00am – 1:00pm

Please note: offers may be made on the day.
