Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Rochester, Kent
Type: Full time, Permanent
Working hours: Monday - Friday
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (flexible depending on experience)

My client is searching for an experienced project engineer with solid experience in food manufacturing environments to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The role is primarily 90% hands off day-to-day responsibilities while supporting the workshop 30% of the time when help is needed to build production machines.
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrate a deep-rooted understanding of high-speed manufacturing environments.
- Time-served Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship or recognised Level 3 qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (must be a NVQ, BTEC, HND, HNC or ONC).
- Solid experience in the maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting of specialized food production machinery, including X-ray inspection systems, checkweighers, and conveyors.
- Strong administrative skills for managing project timelines, equipment specifications, and maintenance schedules from an office environment.
