Personal Assistant (Kirkintilloch) – GCIL ED LG/YB.01.25

We are looking for a warm, caring, patient, reliable and energetic person to support our neurodiverse 8 year old son, who also has communication support needs.
This role is based in the Kirkintilloch area supporting in the home and in the local community.
Our son has reduced awareness of dangers, so your main role will be to assess risk and ensure his safety. Your role will also be to provide some support with personal care (mainly prompting).
You will provide support initially within the home and
then to access social activities within the community (with a parent present).
Our son loves playing with construction toys and police cars, drawing and doing puzzles.
1 afternoon (4 hours) per week
Plus an additional 8 hours during school holidays.
There is flexibility around the days/hours worked. This can be discussed at interview or if you’d like to discuss ahead of applying please call 0141 776 2219.

Must be physically fit
Previous support experience is desirable but not essential.
Driving license preferable (car provided by employer).
PVG Scheme membership required by the successful applicant. The cost of this will be covered by the employer.
