What will you be responsible for?As a General Foreman, you'll be working within the EWR Bedford to Cambridge team, supporting them in delivering high-quality archaeological and soil survey work. You'll also be managing day-to-day operations while ensuring safety, quality and efficiency across multiple survey teams.
Your day to day will include:
-Ensuring soil surveys are carried out to support and inform the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
-Leading and coordinating site teams, ensuring everyone works safely and follows proper procedures
-Managing resources effectively planning labour, equipment and materials to meet project milestones
-Maintaining detailed records and producing daily shift reports for all land parcels
-Coordinate deliveries and site logistics
What are we looking for?This role of General Foreman is ideal if you:
-Hold an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Construction Supervision or equivalent experience
-Have a Gold (Supervisory) or Black (Managerial) CSCS card
-Are SSSTS qualified at minimum (SMSTS preferred)
-Have proven experience in civil engineering projects including earthworks, drainage, concrete, or structures, with the ability to supervise operatives and subcontractors, read drawings and RAMS, and deliver works safely
-First Aid training and a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements
