Your new company
I am supporting a manufacturing business in Bedfordshire that is exploring the market for a strong Purchase Ledger Assistant who can take ownership of the payables process and also assist in other tasks in the finance team. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys a steady, reliable workload and isn't necessarily looking to climb the ladder, but instead values being a trusted, long‑term member of a close‑knit finance team.
Your new role
- Processing high volumes of purchase invoices
- Matching delivery notes with invoices and purchase orders
- Posting and reconciling invoices transferred from the Pegasus Operations system
- Acting as the first point of contact for supplier queries
- Supporting month‑end by analysing outstanding invoices
- Entering project/job costings into the Pegasus Operations system
- Preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements
- General administration, including filing and archiving
- Assisting the wider finance team with additional tasks
(Desirable) Providing cover for Sales Ledger and import/export duties
What you'll need to succeed
- Has solid experience in a purchase ledger processing environment
- Is highly confident using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Works well under pressure and can meet tight deadlines
- Shows strong attention to detail and organisation.
