We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled, motivated and experienced Research Nurse to join our well-established clinical research team as a Band 7 Senior Research Nurse. Based in vibrant East London, you would be working for the one of the largest acute NHS Trust in England with a long-standing reputation of clinical excellence and innovation. The post will be based in Newham University Hospital and you will be part of CRF,with a purpose-built CRF on the 15thFloor of the Royal London Hospital that will specialise in delivering early phase clinical trials, including first in human phase 1 studies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of an allocated team, supporting the operational management of the CRF,study setups and maintain the portfolio and delivery of various speciality studies, deputising for the lead nurse as required. They will also coordinate their own portfolio of interventional and non-interventional clinical research studies recruiting patients in line with specified recruitment targets and timelines, alongside the provision of high quality, holistic patient care. Possessing excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will collaborate closely with leading investigators, other research team members and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety of patients throughout the trial. You will manage your own workload, and oversee the workload of the team, so a proactive, flexible and mature approach is essential. The need for accurate records within clinical research is fundamental, so excellent documentation skills, a meticulous eye for detail and a good standard of IT skill is essential. We are a small team, so it is important that you are team-focused and driven to achieve team success. Phlebotomy and cannulation skills are essential, as is a sound knowledge of GCP

The post is a full time, permanent post with 37.5 hours per week.
