Behaviour Mentor – SEND & SEMH Support
Location: Local schools across the area
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long‑term, potential to go permanent
Hours: Full‑time, Monday–Friday, term‑time only
We are recruiting Behaviour Mentors to support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
This role is ideal for anyone confident working with young people who need structure, guidance, and positive role models.
Role Responsibilities:
-Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
-Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
-Help manage challenging behaviour using clear routines and de‑escalation
-Work 1:1 and in small groups to keep pupils focused
-Support teachers and pastoral teams throughout the school day
Requirements:
-Experience working with young people (school, care, youth work, sports, mentoring)
-Calm, patient, and resilient approach
-Ability to build rapport quickly
-Confident with behaviour management
-Reliable, consistent, and proactive
