Role Overview

As a Breakfast Club Playworker, you will support the smooth running of our Weybridge breakfast club each morning. Working as part of a small team, you will help create a warm, safe, and engaging start to each child’s day.

Your responsibilities include preparing and serving breakfast, supporting play
opportunities, supervising children, and ensuring all safeguarding and welfare
standards are upheld.

This role suits someone caring, reliable, and enthusiastic, who enjoys working with
children and contributing to a fun, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare & Supervision
• Support the daily running of the Breakfast Club (7:30–9:00am)
• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
Daily Operations
• Assist with preparing and serving a healthy, varied breakfast
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
• Carry out basic safety checks and ensure good organisation
Compliance & Administration
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company policies at all times
• Support with daily records and communication where required
Person Specification
Essential
• Understanding of child development and safeguarding principle
• Friendly, confident, and reliable
• Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable
• Previous experience working with children
• Experience in a similar playwork or childcare role
• Knowledge of EYFS frameworks
