What you’ll be doing
As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
This is a unique opportunity to shape early years provision within a school community, working closely with – and supported by – our experienced Head of Early Years.
This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to early childhood education, as well as the ability to effectively manage staff and communicate with parents.
What we need from you
• To take overall responsibility for the daily operation of the nursery, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding, and policies
• To lead, motivate and inspire a dedicated early years team
• To ensure all children are safe and receive rich, engaging play and learning experiences linked to our Early Years Curriculum
• To maintain high standards of safeguarding, child protection, and welfare
• To oversee health and safety procedures including risk assessments, allergy management, and medication processes
• To prepare for and lead the team through regulatory inspections, implementing any recommendations
• To induct, mentor and supervise staff, identifying training needs and fostering strong teamwork
• To work collaboratively with the Head of Early Years to continually develop and enhance provision
• To build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers
• To support occupancy, community engagement and nursery sustainability through effective budget management
• To be positive, resilient, flexible, and work well in our happy team.
