DOG WALKER WANTED – BRENTWOOD
Join the pack with We Love Pets Brentwood!
Do you laugh in the face of sideways rain?
Can you gracefully ignore the fact you’ve got mud on your trousers, wind in your hair… and somehow your hair in your mouth?
If you’re nodding… you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
We’re on the hunt for a dedicated, reliable Dog Walker based in Brentwood to join our friendly, professional team. This is a paid role where you’ll spend your days outdoors, surrounded by wagging tails and happy faces (the dogs’… and eventually the owners’ too!).
Let’s Talk reality.
Winter walks =
• Mud up to your ankles
• Rain that appears to defy physics
• That one Labrador who loves puddles
But then…
Spring & Summer Arrive!
• Golden sunshine and blue skies
• Fields full of wildflowers
• Happy dogs zooming in slow motion
• Sunglasses instead of waterproofs
• That warm “I actually get paid for this?!” feeling
It’s the ultimate contrast — and we love every season of it.
The Role- You’ll be:
Taking dogs on scheduled walks, keeping them safe, happy and well-behaved.
Monitoring for any signs of distress or health concerns.
Handling waste responsibly (yes, even on windy days…
Following specific care instructions, including feeding or medication if required.
Upholding safety protocols at all times.
Hours- dependent on customer need but starting at between 5 and 10 hours a week, with the option of increasing.
What We’re Looking For.
You must live in Brentwood.
Physically fit and confident handling large dogs.
A genuine love of animals and a responsible attitude.
Able to work independently and manage your time efficiently.
Full UK driving licence and access to a car, you are happy to use.
Great customer service skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, build relationships with lovely local clients, and genuinely make a difference in pets’ lives.
If you’re organised, enthusiastic, weather-proof, and don’t mind the occasional muddy paw print — we’d love to hear from you!
