Your new company
Join a values‑driven organisation dedicated to supporting people and improving lives. As part of a committed central services team, you'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality HR support that helps managers and employees thrive. This is an opportunity to step into an environment where your work truly matters, contributing to an organisation with a strong social purpose and a collaborative culture.
Your new role
If you're an ambitious HR professional looking to progress into a broader advisory position, this role offers the perfect platform. You'll work closely with an experienced HR team, gain exposure to a wide range of HR activities, and build confidence managing real employee relations cases.
As the HR Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for all HR‑related queries, providing confident, professional guidance across policies, procedures and employment legislation. Your role will be central to the smooth operation of the HR function, supporting both day‑to‑day activities and broader HR strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising managers and employees on HR policies, processes and employment law basics.
- Managing and maintaining accurate HR data and staff records, including contract changes and documentation.
- Overseeing HR system input, reporting, data analysis, workflow improvements and supporting self‑service queries.
- Processing monthly pay exceptions to meet payroll deadlines with precision.
- Handling employee relations cases such as absence, performance and disciplinaries, escalating where appropriate.
- Supporting HR initiatives including wellbeing, benefits, recognition and TUPE‑related activity.
- Staying up to date with changes in employment law and HR best practice.
This is a dynamic and varied role where you'll work closely with an experienced HR team and managers across the organisation to deliver a high‑quality, people‑centred service.
This position is an excellent opportunity for an HR Administrator, Coordinator, or early HR Advisor looking to take the next step in their career. You'll gain hands‑on experience across ER casework, HR systems, data reporting, payroll support and HR project delivery, supported by an experienced and collaborative HR team.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you'll bring:
- A CIPD qualification or equivalent experience in a similar HR capacity.
- At least 2-3 years' experience in HR at Advisor or Administrator level.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to support and engage colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy HR environment.
- High attention to detail and comfort working with HR systems, data and reporting.
- A solid understanding of basic employment law and HR best practice.
- A customer‑focused, solutions‑oriented mindset.
A DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
What you'll get in return
You'll join a supportive organisation that values its people and fosters professional growth. You'll receive:
- A contributory pension scheme.
- 25 days annual leave, increasing annually up to 30 days, plus bank holidays.
- Business mileage reimbursement.
- A six‑month probation period offering structured support and development.
This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to an organisation that positively impacts communities, while continuing to grow and develop your HR career.
