Summary
Job Description
We are seeking 2 dedicated and energetic personal assistants for my energetic, autistic & non verbal little boy to work for 6 hours a week, together, during the holidays. Family are flexible with days Monday-Friday and hours 8am-5pm on these days.
The role involves providing close supervision, engaging in play-based activities, and ensuring a safe, structured environment at all times.
Individual has no awareness of danger. He requires constant supervision, as he is prone to eloping and will run if given the opportunity. The successful candidate must remain attentive and proactive in anticipating and preventing unsafe situations.
Key responsibilities include supporting outdoor and physical activities such as swimming, park visits, trampoline play, and community outings. Individual does not enjoy busy play centres or social play with other children.
Individual may sometimes drop to the floor when overwhelmed, he may also elope (run away).
The ideal candidate will be patient, physically active, calm under pressure, and confident managing dysregulation with consistency and care. Reliability, strong safeguarding awareness, and a warm, engaging approach are essential qualities for this role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Driving to and from activities.
Pick up from home and return back to home address in Walkden.
Undivided attention.

Child can eat independently but needs constant encouragement to use cutlery and stay in his seat.
Specific Requirements
Strong communication skills, including non-verbal communication awareness Playful, engaging, and energetic attitude.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, patient, punctual, physically active, calm under pressure, and confident managing dysregulation with consistency and care. Reliability, strong safeguarding awareness, and a warm, engaging approach are essential qualities for this role.
A strong boundary around technology is essential. Individual has a significant fixation on phones and tablets and may become distressed if devices are visible but not accessible. The PA must avoid using personal devices in the child’s presence during working hours.
Training required
Full, clean driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Enhanced DBS
Experience supporting children with additional needs
Attended courses/training in and understanding autism
Safeguarding training
Paediatric first aid certificate
Hourly Rate: £12.21
Hours Per Week- 6 hours a week for 2 PA's- 12 hours in total.
How will the hours be used- 2:1 support. Monday to Friday between 8am-5pm Family are very flexible.
