You will be responsible for:
Delivering excellent care and social engagement with compassion and understanding to older
people in a residential and nursing setting.

In particular, you will need to:
• Act in a professional manner at all times
• Safeguard individuals from all forms of abuse (physical, emotional, sexual,
financial or otherwise)
• Report any concerns about a service user or work colleague
• Support residents with all aspects of their day to day living, including
social engagement, activities, personal care, mobility and meal times.
• Be proactive and support colleagues when dealing with difficult situations, ensuring
any challenging behaviour is dealt with effectively and without injury to residents,
self and others.
• Ensure care plans/risk assessments are understood and adhered to
To achieve these outcomes you must:
• Complete relevant training as required to meet the needs of the service
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Charity policies and procedures
as well as regulatory requirements
• Complete all appropriate documentation as required by the Charity
• Hold or be willing to obtain a suitable relevant qualification
• Work professionally with colleagues and external stakeholders
• Have good communication skills both written and verbal
