Summary
To provide high-quality administrative, compliance and communication support to the management team of My Foster Carer Ltd (MFC), helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the agency and maintaining a child-centred, safeguarding-led service.
The post holder plays a key role in:
Supporting the Registered Manager and wider team to deliver an effective and compliant fostering service.
Maintaining accurate records, trackers and audit systems to support quality assurance and inspection readiness.
Acting as a professional first point of contact for carers, prospective carers, local authorities and other stakeholders.
Supporting the agency’s social media and online presence in line with MFC’s ethos and marketing approach.
All duties must be carried out in a way that promotes children’s welfare and safety, and supports foster carers to provide high quality care.
Person Specification
Essential
Experience working in a fostering agency, children’s services or related regulated setting.
Working knowledge of CHARMS or other case management systems.
Experience maintaining compliance trackers/audit systems (e.g. DBS, training, medicals, reviews).
Experience in an administrative or business support role.
Experience of taking comprehensive minutes and maintaining action logs.
Good basic understanding of confidentiality and data protection.
Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and willingness to learn other systems (including CHARMS).
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to work flexibly as part of a small team and use initiative appropriately.
Excellent literacy and attention to detail to ensure correct spelling, grammar and accurate record keeping.
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Desirable
Experience managing or supporting social media accounts for an organisation.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes (if required by the role).
