1 Step Beyond Support is recruiting Female Support Workers to join our growing team in Telford, delivering outreach support through block hours in the community.
Important Information
This is a female-only role due to the specific needs of the individuals we support. This requirement is in line with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and constitutes a genuine occupational requirement.
About the Role
This is a community-based outreach position where you will support individuals in their own homes and out in the community. Support is delivered in structured block hours, promoting consistency and meaningful engagement.
You will be supporting people to:
• Access the community and attend appointments
• Build independence and daily living skills
• Engage in social activities and hobbies
• Maintain their wellbeing and personal goals
• Develop confidence and life skills
Every day is different, but the focus is always on empowerment, dignity, and person-centred support.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals who are:
• Compassionate and patient
• Reliable and professional
• Confident working independently in the community
• Strong communicators
• Flexible with working hours
Previous experience in care or support work is beneficial but not essential — full training can be provided for the right candidates.
Requirements
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
