About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Outreach Worker to join our street-based outreach service in Redbridge. This is a frontline outreach role and involves travelling across the borough of Redbridge to support clients in the community.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Deliver initial street-based assessments to new rough sleepers and provide follow-up casework to existing clients
  • Plan and organise street outreach shifts based on referrals, intelligence, and mapping information to identify and verify rough sleepers
  • Support rough sleepers by ensuring appropriate referrals to accommodation and support services through the Pathway
  • Plan and coordinate annual street counts, conduct local hotspot mapping, and compile data on the rough sleeper population
  • Organise shifts to ensure attendance at planned meetings (with advance notice) and liaise with partner agencies
  • Support clients to access accommodation, health services, day centres, housing advice, and other relevant support
  • Work alongside the Team Manager to lead on crisis intervention for complex and high-risk cases
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local and regional organisations
  • Contribute to service development in line with local and national strategies, including No Second Night Out
  • Work with partners on outreach-focused initiatives such as cold weather provision and annual street counts
  • Support voluntary return where appropriate and work with Immigration Enforcement when required
  • Work alongside the Service Manager to monitor service expenditure and oversee volunteer expenses and timesheets
About You

You will have experience working in homelessness or outreach services, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, frontline environment. You will be confident engaging with complex needs and committed to supporting people away from rough sleeping
