Your new company
Our client is a highly respected defendant practice who is experiencing continued growth within its Casualty Injury division. As a result, we are seeking a Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with litigation qualifications to support a senior Partner in managing a caseload of defendant EL/PL personal injury and catastrophic loss claims.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to join an established, forward-thinking team working on claims valued up to £250,000, with exposure to more complex matters under experienced supervision. Full training, ongoing technical support, and clear development pathways are provided.
Your new role
This Catastrophic Injury Assistant Lawyer role will see you:
- Assisting with the effective management of EL/PL caseloads and ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Monitoring compliance with internal and client SLAs, KPIs and protocols.
- Contributing to prompt billing, WIP management, disbursement collection, and accurate MI reporting.
- Maintaining clear case strategies, applying current technical knowledge and relevant case law.
- Identifying and escalating risk and compliance issues where necessary.
- Acting as a professional point of contact for clients, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Drafting instructions to experts and counsel.
- Supporting business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Enhancing technical capabilities through ongoing training and review of legal publications.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified solicitor or CILEX with full litigation rights (Essential).
- Experience in personal injury litigation, particularly multi-track EL/PL claims.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistent, high‑quality work.
- A team-focused, proactive and positive approach.
- A desire to progress within a dynamic and supportive legal environment.
