The Role
You will provide a responsive and customer‑centred housing allocations service to Lambeth tenants and residents applying for transfers and social housing. This includes the efficient allocation of Council properties, nominations to Housing Associations and Co‑operatives, and supporting mobility schemes. Make direct offers of properties in line with the Council’s Housing Allocation Scheme and associated policies.

Undertake detailed verification of housing applications, including home visits where required, ensuring compliance with Lambeth’s Allocations Scheme.

Maintain effective working relationships with housing providers, ALMOs and Registered Social Landlords, monitoring performance and supporting optimal use of social rented stock.

Produce timely and accurate management information, data and reports to support monitoring of housing supply.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across housing and other directorates to support a joined‑up operational approach.

Good understanding of social housing allocation processes and criteria under Part VI of the Housing Act 1996.
