Start date - ASAP (subject to being medically and security cleared)
Shift patterns - Mon-Fri 40hours per week (hybrid - 3 days in office 2 days at home)
Pay rate - TBC
Location - Sellafield or Whitehaven offices
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sub Project Manager to join the TDA Project Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an established team working on an emerging project at Sellafield. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment to deliver a project of national importance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, multi-disciplinary project teams, and the Client on a fast-paced project.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Planning & Initiation: Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and governance structure to ensure successful project delivery.
* Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure roles are clear and deliverables are achieved efficiently.
* Budget & Resource Management: Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective execution.
* Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively managing issues and change requests.
* Schedule & Quality Control: Track project progress against timelines and ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards.
* Communication & Reporting: Provide regular status updates, performance reports, and maintain accurate project documentation.
* Compliance & Governance: Ensure all project activities comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Experience & Skills
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a project management role within engineering, construction, or nuclear sectors.
* Strong working knowledge of reporting and planning methodologies.
* Good communication and organisational skills and capable of driving project updates with the planning and cost engineers.
* A positive can-do attitude, excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse project teams.
* Must hold appropriate Security Clearance (SC and British Sole National) and be a Sellafield pass holder.
* Experience with IWM (Integrated Work Management) is desirable.
Working Arrangements
* Full time position - 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
* Flexible working arrangements in line with project and Client needs, with a requirement to spend a minimum of 3 days per week in the Whitehaven offices or Sellafield Site when required.
