Job Title: Machine Operative
Location: Outskirts of Ashford (own transport required due to location)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £12.78 per hour, plus overtime available paid at higher rates!
Working Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:45pm, Friday: 8:00am – 4:15pm
• 4 days a week, 6am-6pm

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Machine Operative to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be operating machinery and saws to cut wood. This position involves manual handling and heavy lifting, so physical fitness is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspecting wood to make sure it meets quality standards.
• Using saws and machinery to cut wood down to size.
What We’re Looking For:
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work and able to lift up to 25kg.
• Previous experience in machinery, assembly, production, woodworking, or general labouring is advantageous.
• Safety boots and hi-vis clothing are required.
• Must be comfortable wearing a mask.
