Summary
Job Title: Warehouse / Stores Operative (must have a counterbalance or reach forklift licence)
Location: Ashford
Contract: Temporary to permanent
Pay rate: £13.65, rising to aprx £14.15 in April
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Responsibility: Handling, organising and managing stock within the warehouse. Ensuring receipt and correct storage of raw materials. Despatching and loading of finished products.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Receipt and documentation of incoming raw materials (Raw Material Intake Procedure) for Traceability and Intake checks.
• Ensure delivery note quantity matches actual quantity delivered.
• Ensure correct raw material and quantity is booked onto the internal stock system.
• Correct batch and stock rotation of ingredients to maintain the correct traceability throughout the process.
• Ensure selection of ingredients for picking and batching are labelled correctly and ready in time for the according production plan.
• Maintaining correct control of ingredients at risk from cross contamination (Organic, allergens and allergenic raw materials).
• Carry out regular and routine stock checks of all raw materials.
• Ensure correct documentation, preparation and despatch of finished goods
• Maintaining clean and safe areas of work and in a tidy condition at all times. (Dry Stores, Chill store’s & Cold Store Area’s)
• Good housekeeping of the external yard areas.
• Maintaining forklift truck in good condition, with appropriate documented checks.
• Working within the Health and Safety guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience in warehousing is required.
• A reach or counterbalance forklift licence is required.
• Must be comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling.
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to work.
