Join the School of Psychology at the University of Plymouth and play a key role in supporting teaching, research, and the student experience through high-quality digital and administrative support.

About the role

The Information Assistant will provide flexible administrative and digital support across teaching, research, and student-facing activities within the School of Psychology. Working under the direction of the Head of School, the role supports the systems and processes that underpin psychology teaching delivery, research laboratories, and student participation in experiments.

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines administration, digital platform support, and coordination of teaching and research resources. You will help ensure staff and students receive an efficient, reliable, and student-centred service while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the School.

You will:

• Provide administrative and digital support for teaching, research, and student-facing activities within the School.
• Support the setup, maintenance, and user management of digital research platforms and online systems.
• Maintain and update digital learning platforms used in teaching delivery, working with academic staff.
• Support the management of laboratory and teaching space access, bookings, and equipment procedures.
• Coordinate the issue and tracking of research materials, assessment resources, and experiment participant payments.

For this role, you will need to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.

For an informal discussion to find out more about the role then please contact Jeremy Goslin: by email at jeremy.goslin@plymouth.ac.uk

We’re currently unable to sponsor this role under the Skilled Worker visa route. However, we welcome applicants who already have the right to work in the UK, including those on visa routes we can accept (e.g. Graduate visas).

• Experience providing customer-focused administrative support
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
