We are recruiting a passionate and resilient Primary SEMH Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in KS1-KS2 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, attachment challenges, behavioural barriers, and additional learning needs.Your role will be vital in helping pupils build emotional regulation, confidence, stability and a love for learning in a safe, nurturing setting.

Your creativity, patience and consistency will help shape an environment where pupils feel understood, secure and ready to learn.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs
* Implement strategies such as positive reinforcement, restorative approaches and de-escalation techniques
* Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, therapists and families
* Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment
* Track pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews, reports and multi-agency meetings
* Support pupils in managing emotions, transitions and behaviour throughout the school day
What We're Looking For
* QTS (Primary or Secondary) with experience teaching children with SEMH needs
* Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and emotional wellbeing
* A nurturing, patient and resilient approach to behaviour
* Adaptability, creativity and a positive attitude towards challenging situations
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
